Movement in water

Pool gymnastics – this is general fitness gymnastics, one of the important elements of rehabilitation for patients with degenerative diseases of the spine and limb joints. The aim of the gymnastics is to improve the range of motion in the joints, strengthen muscle strength, and enhance the overall physical fitness of the body, improve circulation, maintain good respiratory and nervous system function, with an emphasis on prevention and correction of postural defects, promoting the development of agility, flexibility, and suppleness. It is used in the treatment of muscle atrophy, hypertension, back pain, elderly patients, and rheumatoid diseases.

Underwater massage

Underwater massage – a treatment where the whole body (except the heart and head area) is massaged with a stream of water at a pressure of 3 – 4 ATM from a hose with an appropriate nozzle. It is effective for diseases of the musculoskeletal and muscular systems, peripheral circulation disorders, metabolism issues, neuralgia, sciatica, and states of mental exhaustion.

Pearl bath

Pearl bath – a type of water massage. Gas bubbles act on the skin, gently stimulating its receptors. They have a calming effect on the nervous system and also a mild sedative effect. The bath is recommended for all kinds of neuroses or general weakness, etc.

Natural body renewal with mud

Mud suspension bath

Bath in peat suspension* – serves for the biological renewal of the body. Its main goal is to heat the tissues in such a way that promotes their regeneration through nourishment and oxygenation, a more efficient metabolism process, and faster elimination of toxic substances from cellular metabolism. During the bath, very important processes occur, especially for active sportspeople, such as deacidification with anti-inflammatory properties.

Better blood circulation

Bath carbonic acid

Carbonic acid bath – a treatment using water with increased carbon dioxide content, which is absorbed through the skin and respiratory system. This causes, among other things, a reduction in the blood of metabolic waste products, cholesterol, and glucose. It also leads to the dilation of capillaries and – which is the most important effect for the circulatory system – an increase in the partial pressure of oxygen in the blood, a decrease in blood pressure, and improved blood flow to the lower limbs.

JACUZZI

Brine bath

Brine jacuzzi bath – a treatment that reduces the excitability of sensory and motor nerves. It normalizes blood pressure. Improves blood circulation regulation and stimulates skin blood flow. Regulates skin metabolism and enhances its resistance. Mainly used for diseases of the musculoskeletal system and skin.

Whirlpool baths

Whirlpool baths – a type of water massage for the lower or upper limbs. They are performed in special tubs. The whirlpool bath is a form of gentle massage combined with water temperature. It causes tissue relaxation, reduces muscle tension, improves blood circulation, and alleviates pain.

Scottish showers

Scottish jets – involve pouring a concentrated or fan-shaped stream of water onto the body, using various types of sprays alternately. Scottish jets, in addition to having a thermal effect, have a strong mechanical action and constitute a distinct form of water massage. Scottish jets can be performed on the whole body or partially. Full water jets have a stabilizing effect on the autonomic nervous system, stimulate circulation, respiration, and metabolism. Partial jets are used in joint and muscle diseases.

Mud wraps

Peat compresses* – the therapeutic mechanism of peat works through thermal and mechanical effects caused by the pressure of the peat mass on the skin and the influence of the chemical compounds it contains. Peat compresses are particularly useful in treating inflammation of joints and soft tissues, diseases of the musculoskeletal system and circulatory system in the limbs, and spine disorders. They overheat the tissue, which helps to relax, soothe, and even eliminate pain. They also have bactericidal, bacteriostatic, astringent, and anti-inflammatory effects, increase the absorption of exudates, and influence hormone secretion.
