Gymnastics in a saline pool – it is general suppleness gymnastics, one of the most important elements of the rehabilitation of patients with osteoarthritis of the spine and joints of the limbs. The aim of gymnastics is to improve the range of motion in the joints, increase muscle strength and improve the overall fitness of the body, improve circulation, maintain good respiratory and nervous systems with an emphasis on prevention and correction of posture, conducive to the development of efficiency, flexibility, elasticity. It is used to treat muscular atrophy, hypertension, back pain, elderly patients, in rheumatic diseases.

 

Underwater massage – a procedure where a stream of water at a pressure of 3 – 4 ATM with a hose ending with a cap massages the whole body (excluding the areas of ​​the heart and head). It works on diseases of the bone-joint and muscle disorders, peripheral circulation and metabolism, neuralgia, sciatica and mental exhaustion.

 

Bubble bath – A variety of water massage. The gas bubbles act on the skin, exerting gentle impact on its receptors. It has a calming effect on the nervous system, as well as being slightly hypnotic. The bath is recommended for all kinds of neuroses or general weakening, etc.

 

Mud bath – mud baths are rejuvenating for the body. Their principal objective is such heating of tissues that affects their regeneration through nutrition and oxygenation, more accurate metabolism and faster removal of toxic substances from cellular metabolism. While bathing processes of de-acidification with anti-inflammatory properties take place, which are very relevant and important, especially for physically active people.

 

Carbonic acid bath – a treatment using water with increased levels of carbon dioxide, which is absorbed through the skin and respiratory system. It causes include a reduction in the blood quantity of the products of metabolism of cholesterol and glucose. This also leads to expansion of the capillaries, and – what is most important for the activity of the circulatory system – to an increase in the partial pressure of oxygen in the blood, lowering blood pressure, improving blood supply to the lower limbs.

 

Brine bath – a treatment that reduces the excitability of sensory and motor nerves. It normalizes blood pressure. It improves blood circulation and stimulates blood flow to the skin. It regulates the metabolism of the skin and improves its resistance. It is used mainly in diseases of the musculoskeletal system and skin.

 

Whirlpool – a variety of water massage for the legs or arms. They are carried out in special tanks. A whirlpool bath is a form of gentle massage combined with water temperature. It causes tissue relaxation, reduced muscle tension, improved blood circulation and pain relief.

 

Hydromassage – water massage relaxes the tissues, reduces nervous tension, improves blood circulation and pain relief. It gives a feeling of relaxation.

 

Scotch douche – this involves pouring on the body focussed or fan-shaped jet of water, interchanging different flows. Scotch douche in addition to its thermal effects has a strong mechanical action, forming a distinct form of water massage. Scotch douche can be performed all over the body or in part. All-over water jets have a stabilizing effect on the autonomic nervous system, stimulate circulation and respiration and metabolism. Partial water jets are used in diseases of the joints and muscles.

 

Mud wraps – this therapeutic mechanism of action is based on thermal and mechanical impacts resulting from mass compression of mud on the skin and the effects of the chemical compounds it contains. Mud compresses are useful particularly in the treatment of inflammatory arthritis and soft tissue diseases of the musculoskeletal system, circulation within the extremities, diseases of the spine. They heat tissue, thanks to which they relax, soothe and even eliminate pain. They also act on the tissue as a bactericidal, bacteriostatic, astringent and anti-inflammatory, increase the absorption of exudates, affect the secretion of hormones.
